WHO WE ARE

Family Service Saskatchewan (FSSK) was established in 1989 and its member organizations work diligently to improve the well-being of individuals, families and communities through the provision of a wide range of services. They have made significant contributions towards reducing violence in domestic and intimate situations, supporting youth at risk, nurturing positive relationships, providing workshops and training, and a plethora of other essential services. Furthermore, over the years FSSK has established partnerships and works closely with the Government of Saskatchewan and organizations such as the United Way towards service delivery.

They have continuously shown their leadership and support towards social change as seen by their involvement towards developing Saskatoon Community Service Village. FSSK also strongly supports innovation in the provision of human services and hosts students from up to twelve professional institutions across four provinces while providing them with quality experiences in the sector.

The most significant project by FSSK to date has been the implementation of Walk In Counselling Clinics across the province. In collaboration with Saskatchewan Health Authority, FSSK has implemented 27 clinics to facilitate rapid access to mental health services. These clinics represent a new $1.2 million investment in services.
